Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Izenivetmab is a monoclonal antibody designed for veterinary use to alleviate pain associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. It is administered as a single injection that provides pain relief for up to three months. Izenivetmab works by targeting and neutralizing **nerve growth factor (NGF)**, a key mediator of pain and inflammation, resulting in improved mobility and reduced pain in treated dogs[4][8][10][12]. Developed and backed by more than a decade of research, izenivetmab demonstrated a favorable safety profile and efficacy in a nine-month field study[4].
