Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JNJ-87801493 is a novel, fully human, IgG1 bispecific monoclonal antibody under development for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is designed to bind both CD20 on B-cells and the CD28 receptor on T-cells, providing targeted costimulatory activation of T-cells in proximity to malignant B-cells. The drug leverages XmAb bispecific Fc technology and is administered subcutaneously. Its mechanism aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by engaging both tumor cells (via CD20) and activating T-cell costimulation (via CD28). JNJ-87801493 is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials as monotherapy and in combination with T-cell engagers for various subtypes of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma[1][3][4][9].
