Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JYP0066 is a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) being developed by Guangzhou Jiayue Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. Designed for topical application, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. The drug works by interrupting the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, which is responsible for the transduction of signals from several key pro-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-4, IL-13, and IL-31, which drive the inflammation and pruritus associated with atopic dermatitis. By targeting JAK1 specifically, JYP0066 aims to provide therapeutic efficacy while potentially minimizing the systemic side effects associated with non-selective JAK inhibition. It is currently undergoing Phase II clinical trials in China.
