KJ-C2529 is an experimental in vivo CAR-T cell therapy being developed by Kaixing Life Technology, a subsidiary of CarsGen Therapeutics, for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. Unlike traditional ex vivo CAR-T therapies that require complex and time-consuming manufacturing of a patient's cells in a laboratory, KJ-C2529 is designed to deliver genetic material directly into the patient to generate chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells in situ. These engineered T cells are programmed to target both CD19 and CD20 antigens, a dual-targeting approach intended to enhance efficacy and prevent tumor escape. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development and represents a shift toward more accessible and scalable cell therapy modalities.
