Overview

The KRAS neoantigen nanovaccine developed by The Affiliated Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School is an immunotherapy candidate designed for the adjuvant treatment of KRAS-mutated colorectal and pancreatic cancers. The vaccine is constructed using a proprietary platform (FOLactis) that utilizes the bacterial membranes of an engineered *Lactococcus lactis* strain to deliver KRAS neoantigenic peptides. By leveraging the natural immunogenicity of bacterial membranes as an adjuvant, the nanovaccine aims to stimulate a robust T-cell response against tumor cells harboring KRAS mutations, thereby reducing the risk of recurrence in post-operative patients. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials via subcutaneous or intralymph node administration.
