LB2501 is an investigational, first-in-class in vivo CAR-T therapy being developed for the treatment of relapsed/refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (R/R B-NHL). It utilizes a third-generation, replication-incompetent lentiviral vector (LVV) that is pseudotyped with a modified fusion glycoprotein and a CD3 binder to specifically target and transduce T cells within the patient's body. Once transduced, these T cells express a dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) directed against CD19 and CD20. This approach aims to provide an off-the-shelf treatment that bypasses the complexities and delays of ex vivo manufacturing and the need for lymphodepletion, potentially offering a more accessible and scalable immunotherapy for B-cell malignancies.
