Lenalidomide + R-IMED is a combination salvage chemotherapy regimen investigated for the treatment of relapsed and refractory non-germinal center B-cell-like (non-GCB) diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The regimen consists of lenalidomide, an immunomodulatory small molecule; rituximab, an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody; and the IMED backbone, which includes the cytotoxic agents ifosfamide, methotrexate, and etoposide, along with the corticosteroid dexamethasone. Developed by the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, this multi-agent approach combines targeted immunotherapy with intensive chemotherapy to overcome resistance in aggressive B-cell lymphomas. Clinical trial results have demonstrated significant efficacy with a manageable safety profile in patients who have failed prior lines of therapy.
