Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Linkage Therapeutics, a subsidiary of the Neural Stem Cell Institute, is developing an alpha-synuclein-targeting intracellular antibody (intrabody) for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The therapeutic is developed using the proprietary PTAP™ (Precision Protein Clearance) platform, which is designed to selectively target and clear disease-causing protein aggregates within cells. By operating intracellularly, this intrabody specifically binds to toxic alpha-synuclein species and promotes their degradation, addressing a primary driver of neurodegeneration in Parkinson's disease. The program is currently in the preclinical and IND-enabling stage of development.
