Overview
LT-Flu is an intranasal, adjuvanted protein subunit vaccine developed by Advagene Biopharma for the prevention of seasonal influenza. It utilizes a proprietary detoxified heat-labile enterotoxin adjuvant, LTh(αK), derived from *Escherichia coli*, which is designed to enhance both mucosal and systemic immune responses. The vaccine contains trivalent influenza hemagglutinin (HA) antigens. By delivering these antigens directly to the nasal mucosa via a spray, LT-Flu aims to induce local secretory IgA and systemic IgG antibodies, providing a needle-free method to prevent respiratory infection. The vaccine has progressed through Phase 2 clinical trials and is reportedly in Phase 3 development.
