Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**MABs-DA1@PEG** is a preclinical, ROS-responsive macrophage-derived apoptotic-body delivery system carrying the mitochondrial quality-control peptide DA1. The apoptotic bodies are surface-modified with thioketal-linked polyethylene glycol to provide circulation stealth and enable ROS-triggered de-PEGylation at cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury sites. The released MABs-DA1 particles are taken up by microglia, where DA1 modulates the ATAD3A–Drp1 axis to restore mitochondrial quality control, reduce neuroinflammation and infarct volume, and improve neurological recovery in mouse ischemic stroke models.
