Malignant glioma tumor lysate-pulsed autologous dendritic cell vaccine is a cell-based vaccine therapy designed to treat glioblastoma. It involves taking a patient's own dendritic cells, which are a type of immune cell, and 'pulsing' them with proteins (lysate) derived from allogeneic malignant glioma tumors. These pulsed dendritic cells are then administered back to the patient to present tumor-associated antigens to the immune system, aiming to stimulate a specific and effective immune response to kill glioblastoma tumor cells. It has been investigated in clinical trials for both recurrent and newly diagnosed glioblastoma.
