Overview
Mecobe is a vitamin B12 dietary supplement developed and manufactured by Myralis Indústria Farmacêutica Ltda. Its active ingredient is methylcobalamin (mecobalamina), a bioactive form of vitamin B12, provided at a dose of 1,000 mcg per sublingual tablet. Mecobe is indicated for the treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency, particularly in patients using metformin, and for general supplementation, including the management of hyperhomocysteinemia. The product functions by providing essential vitamin B12 for metabolic pathways necessary for red blood cell production, nerve function, and DNA synthesis. It is approved and available in Brazil as a dietary supplement.
