mini CYVE is an attenuated chemotherapy regimen used primarily for patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma who are ineligible for high-dose immunochemotherapy. The regimen consists of reduced doses of cytarabine and etoposide, often combined with dexamethasone and rituximab (R-mini-CYVE). Cytarabine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis, etoposide is a topoisomerase II inhibitor causing DNA strand breaks, dexamethasone is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and lympholytic effects, and rituximab is an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody targeting B-cells. The "mini" designation refers to the use of lower doses tailored to frail or elderly patients to reduce toxicity while maintaining efficacy[1][5].
