ModCAR-CD20 is a preclinical-stage modular chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) cell therapy being developed by Hauul Bio. The therapy is designed to target CD20, a B-lymphocyte antigen frequently expressed in various hematologic malignancies. The 'ModCAR' platform utilizes a modular architecture intended to provide enhanced control, safety, or multi-targeting capabilities compared to traditional CAR-T cell therapies. The program is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of several blood cancers, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), as well as myeloid malignancies like acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).
