Overview

MOR102 is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody directed against Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 1 (ICAM-1/CD54). It was developed by MorphoSys using its proprietary Human Combinatorial Antibody Library (HuCAL) technology. The antibody is designed to interfere with lymphocyte activation and adhesion by blocking the interaction between ICAM-1 and its ligands, such as LFA-1. Preclinical studies in the psoriasis-SCID mouse model demonstrated that MOR102 could efficiently inhibit lymphocyte adhesion to ICAM-1 and reduce lymphocyte proliferation, suggesting potential efficacy in treating inflammatory skin conditions. Although clinical studies were indicated based on these results, the development of MOR102 for psoriasis appears to have been discontinued.
