MP0714 is a preclinical-stage targeted alpha radiopharmaceutical being developed by Molecular Partners. It consists of a designed ankyrin repeat protein (DARPin) vector targeting delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3) conjugated to either the alpha-emitting radioisotope actinium-225 (225Ac) for therapy or the beta-emitting radioisotope lutetium-177 (177Lu) for imaging, forming a theranostic pair. MP0714 is designed to treat small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and other neuroendocrine cancers (NECs) by selectively delivering cytotoxic radiation to DLL3-expressing tumor cells. An early-access clinical program for compassionate care has been initiated in South Africa by the Nuclear Medicine Research Institute (NuMeRI) to image and treat patients using this theranostic pair.
