Overview

MTM-H-001 is an investigational humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the B-lymphocyte antigen CD20. Developed by Beijing MTM Biological Pharmaceutical in collaboration with the Cancer Institute and Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, it is designed for the treatment of various B-cell malignancies, including B-cell lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). As a Type II anti-CD20 antibody, it is intended to deplete B-cells through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), and direct induction of apoptosis. MTM-H-001 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials (such as the Archonc-001 study) to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies. It is considered a biosimilar of the approved anti-CD20 antibody obinutuzumab.
