MYOS Vet is a veterinary-exclusive nutraceutical supplement developed by MYOS Corporation to support muscle health and mitigate muscle loss in animals, including dogs, cats, and horses. Its primary active ingredient is Fortetropin, a proprietary, non-thermally processed fertilized egg yolk powder. Fortetropin acts by reducing circulating levels of myostatin, a protein that inhibits muscle growth, while simultaneously activating the mTOR pathway to promote muscle protein synthesis and downregulating the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway to reduce muscle protein degradation.
