Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Niacinamide + 6-gingerol is a cosmetic combination designed to enhance anti-hair loss performance by targeting the Hypoxia-Inducible Factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α) pathway. Identified through digital virtual screening of HIF-1α hydroxylases, specifically Prolyl Hydroxylase Domain-containing protein 2 (PHD2) and Factor Inhibiting HIF-1 (FIH-1), the combination works by stabilizing HIF-1α and promoting its nuclear translocation in keratinocytes. This activation of the HIF-1α pathway is intended to stimulate hair follicle regeneration and sustain hair growth. In practical applications, 6-gingerol may be supplied via a natural ginger extract to ensure environmental compliance.
