Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy of **obinutuzumab (a humanized anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody)**, **polatuzumab vedotin (an antibody-drug conjugate targeting CD79b with a monomethyl auristatin E payload)**, and **venetoclax (a selective inhibitor of BCL-2)**. This regimen has been studied in patients with relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma (FL) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The combination works synergistically: obinutuzumab targets CD20 to induce B-cell lysis; polatuzumab vedotin delivers cytotoxic MMAE to CD79b-positive B cells, causing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis; venetoclax inhibits BCL-2 to promote apoptosis. Together, these mechanisms aim to overcome resistance and improve remission rates in aggressive B-cell lymphomas[1][3][4][5][8].
