Overview

OT-TBU is a preclinical-stage small molecule developed by Pangea Bio that targets the Tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) receptor. The drug is being developed for the treatment of depression and neurodevelopmental disorders. TrkB is a key mediator of neuronal plasticity and survival, serving as the high-affinity catalytic receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). By targeting this receptor, OT-TBU aims to address the neurobiological deficits associated with mood disorders and developmental conditions of the central nervous system.
