Overview

OVM-400 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by Oxford Vacmedix, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company spun out from the University of Oxford. The vaccine utilizes the proprietary Recombinant Overlapping Peptides (ROP) technology platform, which is designed to stimulate anti-tumor immunity by targeting mutations in the K-RAS gene, a common driver in pancreatic cancer. The ROP technology works by breaking the target protein into short, overlapping peptide fragments, which are intended to boost cellular immunity and overcome the limitations of traditional peptide vaccines. OVM-400 acts as both a KRAS modulator and an immunostimulant, specifically targeting KRAS-driven tumors to induce a robust T-cell response against cancer cells. It is currently in the preclinical or proof-of-concept stage of development.
