Panobinostat + rituximab is an investigational combination therapy consisting of panobinostat, a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, and rituximab, a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20. Panobinostat works by inhibiting HDAC enzymes, leading to altered gene expression and apoptosis in cancer cells. Rituximab binds to the CD20 antigen on B lymphocytes, resulting in cell lysis through immune-mediated mechanisms. This combination has been studied primarily for relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), particularly in patients who have received multiple prior lines of therapy[1][2][4].
