Overview

PB018 is a biosimilar candidate of ocrelizumab (Ocrevus), a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the CD20 antigen expressed on the surface of pre-B and mature B lymphocytes. Developed by Polpharma Biologics, PB018 is designed to deplete CD20-positive B cells, which play a central role in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS). By binding to CD20, the antibody triggers antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). In September 2025, Polpharma Biologics licensed the commercialization rights for PB018 in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to MS Pharma.
