Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A rituximab biosimilar developed by Probiomed for indications including non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It is a chimeric monoclonal antibody targeting CD20 on B lymphocytes, mediating B-cell depletion primarily through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and related immune effector functions. It has been marketed in Latin American countries such as Mexico, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru for NHL and RA. In at least one clinical protocol, PBO-326 was evaluated in alternating cycles with MabThera (rituximab) in patients with degenerative or neoplastic diseases.[7][4][1]
