The PDL1-PRAME dual antigen cancer vaccine is an experimental immunotherapy designed to simultaneously target Programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1) and Preferentially Expressed Antigen in Melanoma (PRAME). PD-L1 is a key immune checkpoint protein often overexpressed on tumor cells to suppress T-cell-mediated anti-cancer immunity, while PRAME is a cancer/testis antigen frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including melanoma and hepatocellular carcinoma. By eliciting antigen-specific immune responses against both targets, the vaccine aims to inhibit tumor growth and overcome tumor-mediated immunosuppression. Preclinical studies in syngeneic mouse models have demonstrated its potential in reducing tumor burden in melanoma and hepatocellular carcinoma contexts.
