prulacabtagene leucel

Prulacabtagene leucel (prula-cel, formerly ADI-001) is an investigational allogeneic gamma delta CAR T cell therapy developed by Adicet Bio. It is engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD20, a protein found on the surface of B cells. Unlike traditional alpha-beta T cell therapies, prula-cel utilizes gamma delta T cells, which are designed to be "off-the-shelf" (allogeneic) and may offer advantages in terms of safety and innate immune activation. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for various autoimmune conditions, including lupus nephritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as B-cell malignancies. It has received FDA Fast Track Designation for several of these indications.
