Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QB0208-1 is an investigational small molecule Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitor developed by Beijing Qingbo Huineng Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of ulcerative colitis. The drug works by selectively inhibiting the JAK1 enzyme, thereby blocking the signal transduction of various pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as IL-6 and IFN-gamma) that play a critical role in the inflammatory response of the intestinal mucosa. This targeted approach aims to provide a potent anti-inflammatory effect while potentially minimizing the side effects associated with less selective JAK inhibitors, such as those affecting erythropoiesis (JAK2) or immune cell function (JAK3).
