Qijia Fuzheng Rougan is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound formula primarily investigated for its effects on liver fibrosis and related hepatic diseases. The formulation consists of multiple herbal components designed to regulate immune responses and inhibit fibrogenesis in the liver. Mechanistically, it ameliorates extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition in hepatic fibrosis by modulating the JAK1/STAT6-microRNA-23a feedback loop in macrophage M2 polarization[1][4][6]. It also inhibits aberrant activation of mTORC1 signaling to reverse macrophage M1 to M2 polarization and reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines such as CCL2, CCL5, IL-1β, IL-6, inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and TNF-α[3].
