Overview
Qinzhuliangxue Keli (QZLX) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) formulation developed by the Shanghai Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Originally formulated in the 1950s by Xia's Chinese medical surgery, it was approved as a hospital preparation by the Shanghai Food and Drug Administration in 2017 (YZ170063). The formulation consists of nine herbal ingredients: Hangqin (Scutellaria baicalensis), Zhenzhumu, Mudanpi (Paeonia suffruticosa), Zicao, Fangfeng, Lingcishi, Shengmuli, Shengmiren, and Shenggancao. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of subacute eczema and atopic dermatitis, specifically for patients with 'blood heat wind hyperactivity' syndrome according to TCM theory. QZLX exerts anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and sedative effects, potentially through the modulation of the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway and regulation of inflammatory cytokines.
