Overview

Rb10 is a preclinical-stage synthetic peptide developed by Recepta Biopharma in collaboration with researchers from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and the University of São Paulo (USP). The drug is a complementarity-determining region (CDR)-derived peptide, specifically engineered from the sequence of a humanized monoclonal antibody. Rb10 is co-patented with Rb9, another CDR-derived peptide from ReceptaBio's pipeline. Preclinical studies have indicated that Rb10 possesses broad antitumor potential across multiple cancer types. While the specific molecular target is not publicly disclosed, CDR-derived peptides of this class typically function by mimicking the binding properties of the parent antibody or by directly inducing apoptosis and inhibiting signaling pathways in tumor cells.
