Overview

R-CMOP is a chemoimmunotherapy regimen primarily investigated for the treatment of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). It is a modification of the standard R-CHOP regimen, where the anthracycline doxorubicin is replaced by the anthracenedione mitoxantrone. This substitution is typically explored to reduce the risk of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity while attempting to maintain comparable anti-tumor efficacy. The regimen consists of rituximab (a CD20-targeting monoclonal antibody), cyclophosphamide (an alkylating agent), mitoxantrone (a topoisomerase II inhibitor and DNA intercalator), vincristine (a microtubule inhibitor), and prednisone (a corticosteroid).
