Overview
R-COMP-14 is an investigational dose-dense combination chemotherapy regimen designed for the first-line treatment of aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), particularly in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular risk factors. The regimen consists of rituximab, cyclophosphamide, vincristine, prednisone, and Myocet (a non-pegylated liposomal formulation of doxorubicin). By substituting conventional doxorubicin with liposomal doxorubicin, the regimen aims to maintain the anti-tumor efficacy of the standard R-CHOP backbone while significantly reducing the risk of treatment-induced cardiotoxicity. It is typically administered on a 14-day cycle (dose-dense) rather than the standard 21-day cycle to increase dose intensity.
