Overview

This is a combination regimen consisting of three agents: rituximab, a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20 on B cells; paclitaxel protein-bound (also known as albumin-bound or nab-paclitaxel), a taxane-class antimicrotubule agent delivered via nanoparticle albumin binding to enhance delivery and reduce solvent-related toxicity; and pegylated liposomal doxorubicin, an anthracycline chemotherapeutic encapsulated in PEG-coated liposomes for improved pharmacokinetics and reduced cardiotoxicity. This combination has been studied for the treatment of relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, leveraging the immunotherapeutic effect of rituximab with two nanoparticle-formulated cytotoxics that disrupt cell division and DNA integrity[1][2][3].
