Overview

SIBP-02 is a biosimilar of rituximab, a chimeric monoclonal antibody that targets the CD20 antigen found on the surface of B lymphocytes. By binding to CD20, it induces B-cell lysis through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), and direct induction of apoptosis. SIBP-02 is developed for use in hematological malignancies where CD20-positive B cells are implicated, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and follicular lymphoma. The drug has been developed by Shanghai Institute of Biological Products, a subsidiary of Sinopharm[2][5][6].
