Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RituxiRel is a rituximab biosimilar developed and manufactured by Reliance Life Sciences. It is a chimeric murine/human monoclonal IgG1 kappa antibody that specifically targets the CD20 antigen expressed on the surface of pre-B and mature B-lymphocytes. Upon binding, RituxiRel mediates B-cell depletion through multiple mechanisms, including complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and the induction of apoptosis. It is indicated for the treatment of B-cell malignancies such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), as well as autoimmune disorders including rheumatoid arthritis (in combination with methotrexate), granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA), and microscopic polyangiitis (MPA).
