RN1701 is an investigational allogeneic, bispecific chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy designed to target both CD19 and CD20 antigens. By simultaneously targeting two distinct B-cell surface markers, RN1701 aims to mitigate the risk of antigen escape, a common mechanism of resistance and relapse in patients treated with monospecific CAR-T therapies. As an allogeneic or "off-the-shelf" product, it is derived from healthy donor cells rather than the patient's own T-cells, which potentially allows for standardized manufacturing and immediate treatment availability. The therapy is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for its safety, efficacy, and cellular persistence in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell lymphomas.
