RNA tumor vaccine + nivolumab is an investigational combination therapy consisting of an mRNA-based cancer vaccine targeting KRAS mutations and the immune checkpoint inhibitor nivolumab (referred to as 'navuliumab' in some trial contexts). Developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University, the RNA tumor vaccine is designed to stimulate a T-cell mediated immune response against neoantigens derived from KRAS mutations, such as G12D or G12V, which are prevalent in various solid tumors. Nivolumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting the Programmed Death-1 (PD-1) receptor, is administered to block inhibitory signaling in T-cells, thereby preventing immune exhaustion and potentially enhancing the anti-tumor efficacy of the vaccine. This combination is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial for patients with KRAS-mutated advanced solid tumors, including colorectal and pancreatic cancers.
