ruxolitinib + dexamethasone

Ruxolitinib + dexamethasone is a combination therapy consisting of ruxolitinib, a selective Janus kinase 1 and 2 (JAK1/JAK2) inhibitor, and dexamethasone, a synthetic glucocorticoid. Ruxolitinib acts by inhibiting JAK1 and JAK2 kinases, thereby modulating cytokine signaling pathways involved in inflammation and hematopoiesis. Dexamethasone exerts potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects primarily through binding to the glucocorticoid receptor. This combination is explored for its potential synergistic effects in diseases where both immune dysregulation and inflammation are prominent features, such as certain hematologic malignancies or inflammatory conditions[4][6]. In China, ruxolitinib is the only approved targeted therapy for myelofibrosis[2].
