Overview
S-1 + cisplatin + vinorelbine is a combination chemotherapy regimen. S-1 is an oral fluoropyrimidine that contains tegafur (a prodrug of 5-FU), gimeracil (CDHP, which inhibits DPD), and oteracil (Oxo, which reduces GI toxicity). Cisplatin is a platinum-based agent that forms DNA cross-links leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Vinorelbine is a vinca alkaloid that disrupts microtubule assembly during mitosis. This combination targets multiple phases of the cell cycle for enhanced anticancer activity.
