Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SCT500 is an investigational monoclonal antibody targeting the B-lymphocyte antigen CD20, developed by Sinocelltech for the treatment of hematologic malignancies. CD20 is a transmembrane protein expressed on the surface of mature B-cells and is a validated target for B-cell-derived cancers such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). SCT500 is designed to bind specifically to CD20, mediating the depletion of malignant B-cells through immune-effector mechanisms, including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), and the direct induction of apoptosis. It is currently in early-stage clinical development to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and efficacy in patients with B-cell malignancies.
