Overview

SL1617 is an investigational in vivo CAR T-cell immunotherapy being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell lymphoma. Unlike traditional CAR-T therapies that require complex ex vivo cell processing and lymphodepleting chemotherapy, SL1617 utilizes an engineered lentiviral vector to transduce T cells directly within the patient's body. This approach aims to generate functional CAR-T cells in vivo, potentially simplifying the treatment process and reducing the time to therapy. SL1617 is designed to target both CD19 and CD20 antigens on B cells, a dual-targeting strategy intended to mitigate the risk of antigen escape and improve therapeutic outcomes. The therapy is administered as a single intravenous infusion and is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials sponsored by the Chinese PLA General Hospital.
