Overview

TML-EMO-22 is a preclinical-stage, ready-to-use (RTU) injectable formulation of a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI), likely esomeprazole, being developed by Themis Medicare. Utilizing a Novel Drug Delivery System (NDDS), this formulation is designed to be administered directly without the need for reconstitution, which is typically required for conventional lyophilized PPI injections. By eliminating the reconstitution step, TML-EMO-22 aims to reduce the risk of microbial contamination, minimize dosing errors, and save preparation time in acute care settings. As a PPI, the active ingredient works by irreversibly inhibiting the gastric H+/K+-ATPase pump in the parietal cells of the stomach, thereby providing potent and long-lasting suppression of gastric acid secretion for the treatment of acid-related disorders.
