UCLM805 is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by UTC Therapeutics for the treatment of mesothelin-positive (MSLN+) refractory solid tumors. The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells using a lentiviral vector (LVV) to express a CAR specific for mesothelin, a cell-surface glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various solid malignancies, including mesothelioma, pancreatic, and ovarian cancers. UCLM805 is manufactured using the proprietary LACO-Stim® CAR-T technology platform, which is designed to enhance the expansion, potency, and persistence of the engineered T cells within the immunosuppressive solid tumor microenvironment. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety and efficacy in patients with advanced solid tumors.
