V900

V900 is a llama-derived, humanized domain antibody developed by VHsquared that targets the IL-23p19 subunit to neutralize IL-23 signaling. The antibody has been specifically engineered for high resistance to intestinal proteases, enabling oral administration and localized, topical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This approach aims to provide therapeutic efficacy directly at the site of inflammation in the gut while maintaining minimal systemic exposure, thereby potentially improving the safety profile compared to systemic biologics. V900 is also utilized as a building block in the bispecific domain antibody V56B2, where it is linked to an anti-TNFα domain antibody.
