Venetoclax + anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody is a combination therapy used primarily for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Venetoclax is an oral small molecule inhibitor of B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2), a protein that helps cancer cells survive. By inhibiting BCL-2, venetoclax promotes apoptosis in malignant B-cells. Anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies—such as rituximab or obinutuzumab—are biologic agents that bind to the CD20 antigen on the surface of B-cells and mediate their destruction through immune mechanisms. The combination induces deep remissions and allows for fixed-duration treatment in CLL patients[1][2][8]. This regimen is approved and widely used in relapsed/refractory CLL and has also been studied in other hematological malignancies.
