Overview

**EYP-1901** is an investigational, bioerodible sustained-release intravitreal insert containing the small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor vorolanib. It uses EyePoint's Durasert E delivery matrix to provide local, near-zero-order release after a standard intravitreal injection. Vorolanib inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptor and platelet-derived growth factor receptor signaling, and preclinical work also supports inhibition of Janus kinase 1 mediated interleukin-6 inflammatory signaling. The product is in Phase 3 development for wet age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema; it remains unapproved.
