VX-11e

VX-11e is a potent, selective, and ATP-competitive small molecule inhibitor of extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2 (ERK1/2). Developed by Vertex Pharmaceuticals, it is a well-characterized pharmacological tool used to study the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway, which regulates critical cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and survival. VX-11e is frequently employed in preclinical research as a positive control for ERK inhibition. It has been utilized in studies investigating airway smooth muscle hyperplasia in asthma and the microenvironment of chondrocytes and osteoclasts in osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
