Overview

Weifuchun is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Hangzhou Huqingyutang Pharmaceutical, primarily used for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) and the prevention of gastric precancerous lesions. The formulation typically consists of Red Ginseng (Hongshen), Isatis Root (Banlangen), and Sanchi (Sanqi). It is designed to invigorate the spleen, benefit qi, and resolve blood stasis. Mechanistically, Weifuchun is thought to improve gastric mucosal blood flow, promote the repair of damaged mucosa, and inhibit the progression of intestinal metaplasia and atypical hyperplasia. Clinical research has also explored its effects on the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway, which is involved in gastric carcinogenesis. It is available in tablet and capsule forms and is often used as a standard control or adjunctive therapy in clinical trials for gastric diseases in China.
