Overview

YMN-A02 is a bifunctional mRNA-based therapeutic encapsulated in a proprietary lipid nanoparticle (TM10-LNP). It is designed to encode a fusion protein that simultaneously targets two key pathways of immune evasion in the tumor microenvironment: cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) and transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β). By combining a CTLA-4 antibody with a TGF-β trap, YMN-A02 aims to activate antitumor immune responses and reverse immune tolerance, particularly in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who have failed standard-of-care treatments. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials by West China Hospital of Sichuan University.
